OTHERWISE SUPPORT

ABOUT MY PRACTICE
Going through challenging experiences is a part of life, but we don't have to do it alone. I use my peer support training as well as my personal lived experiences to work with people through life's ups and downs. Whether you are going through a major life transition, healing from something you went through, working toward an important personal goal, or looking for deeper understanding of yourself, we can face it together.
WHY IS IT CALLED OTHERWISE SUPPORT?
The word otherwise kept coming to me when I was thinking what I wanted to name my practice. A lot of the hard things I've been through in life made me feel like I was different, outside of what's considered 'normal', other. The more open I've been about my most difficult feelings and experiences, the more I've learned just how common they are. We aren't as strange or alone as we might think. Having experiences outside of the norm can be a strength; the perspective we gain from struggling allows us to empathize with other people who are going through hard stuff. Our most painful experiences make us wise. My practice is a space that celebrates us for making it through what could break us.
